Life can bring it's share of hobbies and activities that can wrap us up in becoming a jack of all trades and a master of none.We can often look at people who are very very good at something and wonder how they became so great at it. I read something this morning that may have given me a little insight to how they do.
Anthony Robbins is a very respected motivational speaker and this is what he had to say,
"One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular."
This is what King David had to say...
"The one thing I ask of the Lord the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.
We wonder why David was called a man after God's own heart, I think this is why. This was his Focus! Not an afterthought not an alternative. Not a hobby not something to pass the time. But the focus, the one thing. What's your one thing? What's your focus? Are you focusing on something you shouldn't be?
